The Lisbon Story Centre is the perfect introduction to the Portuguese capital. For something even more dramatic, take to the skies on Lisbon Helicopters, an incredible sightseeing flight that takes passengers high above the coast and downtown Lisbon. Back on the ground, visitors can admire the virtuoso equestrian skills of dressage riders from the Escola Portuguesa de Arte Equestra. Then you should climb the Arco da Rua Augusta, where you’ll get a great view of the river and the city centre. The world’s largest collection of horse-drawn carriages is housed in the impressive Museu Nacional dos Coches. And over in Parque das Nacoes, you can take a ride on the Telecabine, a cable car that glides over the riverbank and offers a fantastic view of the former Expo 98 site.
